Located just outside the suburbs of Cairo on the esplanade known as the Giza Plateau, the Great Pyramids of Giza are the essential site of ancient Egypt.

The two smaller, however huge, Giza pyramids are those of Khafre and Menkaure. Few steps to the east and you will notice three small piles of rubble (20 m high): the queens pyramids, tombs and women Sisters of Khufu.
Nearby, on the Giza plateau, you will find the Great Sphinx and the museum of the solar boat. This site also hosts the Sound and Light show at Giza, and this is where every new arrival in Egypt experienced the Giza camel back riding for the first time.
